Spring 2009 Registration INFO
All girls between the ages of 5 and 16, regardless of skill or experience level, are highly encouraged to participate. The Spring recreation season is designed to be a mixture of competitive and instructional play with an emphasis on fun. Teams are formed by distributing the girls evenly based on experience and skill level. In this environment it doesn't take long for new players to make friends and have fun while getting good exercise and learning how to play the game.

Thursday, October 23, 6:00 – 8:00pm at Vista Park
   Saturday, November 15, 9:00am – 12:00pm at Vista Park
   Saturday, December 6, 9:00am – 12:00pm at Vista Park

Who is Eligible:

All girls between the ages of 5 and 16. Your child's age as of Dec. 31, 2008 determines which division she will play in. There are five age divisions:

  6U Division: ages 5-6

  8U Division: ages 7-8

  10U Division: ages 9-10

  12U Division: ages 11-12

  16U Division: ages 13-16

 

What You'll Get:

What to Bring to Registration:

1) Copy of birth certificate (if you haven’t previously registered
    with SSJSB)

2) Player should be present at registration to be fitted for uniform

3) Registration fees (see below)

 

Fees:
Ages 5 – 8.....$115.00 plus fundraiser (see below)
Ages 9 – 16...$135.00 plus fundraiser (see below)
Family discount: First child regular rate, second child $10 off, each additional child $25 flat rate.


Required Fundraiser:

All participants are required to participate in the registration fundraiser and payment is due at registration. Choose between:

1) purchase a box of candy for $52 that can be resold to family and friends to recoup entire purchase price,

- OR -

2) purchase a fundraising buyout for $45 and sell no candy.

 

Equipment you'll need before season begins:

  1) Softball glove

  2) Cleats

  3) Sliders, knee pads and/or other optional safety equipment

Bats and helmets are provided by the league or you can bring your own. Bats must be ASA 2004 certified and helmets must have full facemasks. If you have any questions about what size or type of equipment is best for your child, send your question to: equipment@ssjsb.org.
